When people hurt you
You are feeling hurt because people hurt your emotions?
You feel hopeless because people mock you?
You feel its unfair when people take advantage of you?
You cant stand it when people make fun of your weakness?
You feel discouraged when people let you down?
Oh really!? You are trying to tell me you wished people cared more of other’s feelings?
Well I’m not surprised at the way this world behaves because even before they got to you they got to the person who sits on the right hand of God, His very own Son; the one person who walked this earth sin and blame free.
They mocked Him,
hurt Him physically and emotionally,
whipped Him and tore at his flesh,
spat at Him,
made fun of Him,
treated Him worse than a stray animal,
…and even at the point of extreme pain, as He was taking his last few breaths all He asked was for some water and they mercilessly thrust bitter wine into His mouth!
Even at the pinnacle of extreme anguish, blood oozing out of his body, fear and pain in every muscle and flesh He still asked God to forgive them all.
Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” – Luke 23:34
This is the person they murdered.
Sinless, blameless, full of compassion and kindness, doing good for all and healing the sick, He walked this earth only to be treated like no man should ever be treated however wrong he may be.
It was like nothing He ever did mattered, who He is never mattered, His kind deeds were forgotten and His miracles were questioned, His worth was mocked and His honesty was blamed.
……and you think people are going to give you any consideration for the good you do?
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.” – John 15:18
You expect them to have heart enough to care and see through your pain?
Don’t expect too much from this world for they killed your King, how do you think they are going to treat you?
‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. – John 15: 20
But love them anyways, for your king loved them regardless; so you have no right to hold a grudge or avenge them but to forgive them like He did!
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. – Colossians 3:13
