Why are we not feeling happy and satisfied?

Why are we not feeling happy and satisfied?

Maybe we are not happy because we believe our worth is measured with the amount of money we make, our talents or material possessions we accumulate or reaching a certain position in life or having a certain life status by a certain age.

Maybe we are not satisfied because the picture of our life does not match with picture in our heads.

Maybe we are depressed because we see the world moving by and we are just here stuck!

Your career, possessions, achievements or life status are not going to define you or your worth.

Real worth is how you choose to fight when you lay defeated, how you endure while life keeps you waiting, how you keep falling over and over yet you get up and keep going without giving up.

Real worth is getting up and showing up against all odds, the struggle you suck up to everyday yet keep pushing because you believe and choose to keep hoping even when you don’t see now.

Because it is only when you feel empty, you build character and perseverance.

When you have everything, if you don’t have character to sustain you then pride is going to bring all that down.

So let it happen. Let the frustration confusion and mental fog happen, because this is where the real ‘YOU’ gets built.

I know you don’t have the answers to your why or how or when. I cant give you those answers either but I want to tell you you don’t need those answers. Now you lay low. Now you keep moving forward even if you are tired. One day it will all turn around in your favor and then you will know why.

Who am I to tell all this? I am no one. But I hope this helps you.

And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore you, secure you, strengthen you, and establish you. – 1 Peter 5:10

Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance, and perseverance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. – Romans 5:3-5
